No Citrus

I’ve read a lot of posts on how citrus oil has a substance (limonene) in the peel that can be harmful to worms and turn the bin sour. I generally avoid it, though I’m sure a few peels here and there wouldn’t hurt. I tend to zest my peels for other things anyway so sometimes I’ll add the remaining white pif once I’ve juiced the fruit and zested the peel. I’ve also read ripping up the peel into smaller pieces make it easier for the worms to break it down but again in small quantities.
