No Banana Peels

Well sort of, the only time I put in banana peels is when I use bananas that I’ve put in the freezer for baking. Because those peels were frozen and thawed they’re really mushy and easier to breakdown and I’ve also been told this helps prevent fruit flies. I haven’t read anything that says definitively no banana peels, I just find they take a long time to breakdown.

  1. I haven’t had any problems putting in banana peels but I do chop them up into fairly chunks. I haven’t had a problem with fruit flies but I do try to keep them well buried.
